Q: How do I get a group study room?

Students may sign up for a study room at the Circulation Desk or reserve a room in advance.

Study rooms are a first come, first serve basis and space is limited so reserving a room is highly recommended.

A student photo ID from one member of the group is required to use a room. You must have at least two students present to use the group study rooms.

The Group Study Room Policy:

Group study rooms are available to current OCC students only for 3 hours of use per group at a time. Students may sign up for a study room by scanning the QR code on the study room door or Circulation Desk, as well as through the library’s website, The link is located under Library News and Events. Space is limited so reserving a room is highly recommended.

Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. Reservations are held for 30 minutes.

If the student is unable to make an online reservation, an OCC student ID card will be required by staff to book a room. You must have at least two students present to use the group study rooms.

The student reserving the room is responsible for any damage, theft, or cleaning fees. The library reserves the right to refuse admittance to these rooms after official disciplinary action has been taken.

Groups need to check out of their room 30 minutes prior to closing. No food is allowed in the study rooms. All study rooms are equipped with computers. Whiteboard erasers and markers are not provided by the library. Please bring your own. Groups unable to use a study room may use the Open Study Room to the left of the computer lab.

Individual students who need a quiet area for a Zoom meeting can use the Open Study Room or the study area behind the Media Desk. Headphones are available for a 4-hour, in-house checkout if needed.
